Eight cars intercepted for suspected illegal hire

Police on Wednesday said they intercepted eight private cars in a citywide undercover operation targeting illegal ride-hailing services. The eight drivers, aged between 36 and 63, were suspected of using their cars for illegal hire or reward. Three vehicles were seized for further investigation. (…)
